LECTURE; ”Confused about Photography: From the Weimar Republic to the Arab Spring | PORTFOLIO REVIEW

Susie Linfield is the author of “The Cruel Radiance: Photography and Political Violence,” which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. She writes on culture and politics for an array of publications including The Nation, Dissent, Guernica, and The New Republic. Linfield was formerly the editor in chief of American Film, the deputy editor of The Village Voice, and the arts editor of The Washington Post. She directs the Cultural Reporting and Criticism program at New York University, where she is an associate professor of journalism.
