Joan Liftin is a well known photographer and photo editor. She is the author of Drive-Insand directed the International Center of Photography’s Documentary and journalism education program for twelve years. She was Director of Magnum’s Library and staff photographer and photo editor of UNICEF. Photo books that she has edited includeInheritance by Andrea Stern, Falkland Road by Mary Ellen Mark, Magnum’s Paris (with Inge Morath) and Progresso by Charles Harbutt. In the past four years, she has had one woman exhibits at OK Harris in New York, Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton, Westwerk in Hamburg, Germany and Arclight in Hollywood, California.
